Once you’ve developed your ideal resume, it’s time to prepare for the next stage in achieving the career of your dreams: the job interview. Best Words interview coaching offers a way to ensure you put your best foot forward at interview, presenting the capable, assured candidate that you know yourself to be.
For many people, it can be a challenge to represent what you know you are capable of in an interview format. The majority of people find interviews at least a little nerve-wracking. Investing in just one or two interview coaching sessions can make the world of difference when it comes to your confidence. Simply practicing for your performance at interview will help you to:
Communicate your experience and strengths clearly;
Stay focused on the questions and minimize nervous babbling;
Maintain physical poise and composure;
Feel in control of the interview process and establish whether the company is truly a good fit for you (as well as you for the company).
Our interview preparation sessions will help you to approach interviews in a calm, poised and confident manner. Let us enable you to represent your best self in a way that matches your new resume. Our goal is to help you unlock your full interview potential, while also reconnecting with what exactly you want from the job you ultimately accept. Your initial session will include:
Detailed research by your interview coach into your desired company, particular position and/or career field prior to your mock interviews;
Full mock phone interview;
Full mock Zoom interview;
Additional time for feedback and discussion of performance;
Time to talk through past interview experiences, areas of uncertainty or types of questions you might find challenging;
Strategies to ensure that you gain the information you need to make an informed decision about the position and company.
For your initial interview coaching session, you may choose to focus on a specific company and position - if you already have the interview booked, for example, or if you simply prefer to focus your efforts on one company. If you would rather focus on more general interview preparation, this is another option available to you.
This shorter option is a chance to go over the general interview process by phone, helping you to become more confident and poised for the real thing. The mini-session includes research into one company/employer of your choice. Subjects covered may include:
preparation for a range of potential interview questions, both general and specific to your professional field;
salary negotiation strategies;
personal presentation for both Zoom/virtual and in-person interviews;
opportunity to work on any questions or topics that you find harder to answer.
